F. Bentley Mooney, Jr. is an av-rated California attorney, in
practice since 1972. He holds a master of laws degree in taxation
(LLM (Tax)) and is certified by the Board of Legal Specialization
(State Bar of California) as a specialist in estate planning,
trust and probate law. His practice is limited to domestic and
international business, estate planning, trusts, probate and related
taxation. He lectures frequently on those topics.
Major practice concentrations are in Medi-Cal eligibility planning
(shifting the costs of long term nursing home care while preserving
economic security), asset protection planning (estate planning
taking litigation exposure into account) and foreign private annuities
(removes the exchange property from the annuitants gross
estate without wealth transfer taxes, while retaining an income
and keeping the principal in the family).
Mr. Mooney receives calls for expert comment from Forbes, Medical
Economics, The Los Angeles Business Journal, Wall Street Journal
and more than a dozen other publications.
He is the author of numerous articles and books. Among the latter

the Los Angeles County, California and American Bar Associations,
Lawyers' Club of Los Angeles County, Conference of Bar Delegates,
Glendale Estate Planning Council, and the National Academy of
Elder Law Attorneys.
Mr. Mooney has also provided leadership to many civic and charitable
organizations. They include Kiwanis Club of North Hollywood, Universal
City-North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, San Fernando Convention
& Visitors Bureau, No Ho Regional Center for the Arts, North
Hollywood Community Forum, St. Annes Foundation and the
